Job summary

Stellar Personnel in Ottawa is seeking enthusiastic servers for our Front of House team. You will greet guests, take orders, and recommend menu items to ensure a warm, memorable dining experience.

We offer flexible shifts and competitive pay ($18–$22 CAD/hour), with experience and skills influencing the rate. A valid Smart Serve certificate, POS familiarity, and strong interpersonal skills are required. Wine knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of prior experience as a server.
• Valid Smart Serve Certificate.
• Capable of using POS (Point of Sale) machine.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with food and beverage services.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Nice to have: basic wine knowledge and pairings.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly, and attentive service to all guests.
• Take and enter food and beverage orders into the POS system accurately.
• Familiarize guests with menu offerings and provide recommendations.
• Serve beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Process guest payments securely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area across bar and dining sections.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and promote specials or seasonal features.
• Adhere to food safety and alcohol service regulations.
