We are looking for driven candidates currently enrolled in post-secondary education to work as a Warehouse Tech who want a value-added experience in plant operations at our food manufacturing facility in Ottawa, Ontario.

Compensation: $19/hr

This position will require full-time availability May through September and you can be assigned to a variety of shifts (including weekends) between the hours of 7am-11pm, as well as overnight shifts 11pm-7am.

Responsibilities
  • Unloads cardboard and returned product from route trucks and processes them into inventory.
  • Sorts, stacks, and bundles cardboard for recycling or disposal.
  • Picks customer orders using voice-directed technology or handheld scanners (full-case picking).
  • Picks individual items or bags using the pre-pick module/cart system. Loads route trucks with product using roller carts or by manual handling.
  • Performs general housekeeping and sanitation tasks to maintain cleanliness of the facility and grounds.
  • Follows safe work practices at all times, including proper lifting techniques.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.
Qualifications
  • Completed high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be enrolled in a post secondary education program in Canada
  • Available to work up to and including Labour Day weekend
  • Great teamwork and excellent communication skills
  • Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
  • Flexible – Willingness to work all shifts including afternoons, nights, weekends, and weekend nights
  • Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, grasping and stair climbing
  • Must be able to lift / carry up to 50lbs
