Join us as a Summer Student and help to Create Care Inspired by Community in East Toronto! As a Summer Student you will work with us on a variety of projects and other initiatives in collaboration with various departments and teams across the hospital and external partners.

This position is offered through the support of Government of Canada-Canada Summer Jobs Program. All applicants must meet the minimum requirements of that program.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support projects and initiatives throughout, including daily operations, planning, logistics, and communications.
• Support the documentation of best practices to ensure sustainability
• Provide operational support to our staff, physician, and patient project work
• Assist with data modeling, analysis, evaluation and report writing
• Other administrative duties as assigned
  
  

Education

• High school diploma, required.
• Enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program, required. Healthcare-related or digital experience, or graphic designdigital experience or graphic design, preferred.
  
  

Experience

• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong demonstration of tact and diplomacy with a customer service focus
• Expectation of this role encompasses the need to maintain confidentiality with respect to all aspects ofthe work being performed
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, and prioritize workload
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with information gathering and the ability to synthesize and summarize information
• Ability to prepare written reports and documents that are clear and concise
• Comfortable working within a team as a leader and/or team member and with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Skills to translate 2D structural drawings into an immersive 3D environment will be an asset
• Skills to create an interactive VR experience for a healthcare audience using a third-party platform will be an asset
