Role Overview

We are currently seeking a hardworking and energetic student with a passion and interest in Aboriginal Law. The role will be based out of our Victoria office, for the summer of 2027. This role will assist the firm’s Associates to represent our First Nations clients in litigation and regulatory matters and performing day-to-day file management. The matters will primarily relate to Aboriginal law, including Aboriginal and Treaty Rights, consultation and accommodation and issues related to reserve lands and band administration. We also conduct other litigation involving constitutional and administrative law.

This role will provide opportunity for development and mentorship with the potential to continue into an Articling Position.

Our Summer Programs aim to teach students how to become great lawyers. You will be mentored by our team of Associates and exposed to a wide variety of situations and may include client meetings, research, drafting of legal documents and attending on motions, trials, and administrative proceedings, conducting research, drafting correspondence, pleadings and application, affidavits, and trial preparation.
