The program offers access to Canada's largest actuarial network and a flexible, inclusive environment. You will build automated solutions using Excel/Access/VB, analyze fixed income portfolios, and collaborate across Front Office and ALM

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in a quantitative field with 3–5 co-op or summer terms in investing.
• Solid knowledge of fixed income instruments and markets.
• Strong MS Excel, Access, Visual Basic and SQL skills.
• Experience analyzing large, complex investment portfolios, especially fixed income.
• Demonstrated ability to perform statistical analysis.
• Understand benchmarks and drivers of investment performance.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and ad hoc performance reporting for bonds, swaps, and mortgages.
• Conduct statistical analysis to estimate and review investment benchmarks.
• Design automated solutions using Excel, Access, and Visual Basic.
• Provide analytical support on new projects and ad-hoc requests.
• Produce weekly market indicators dashboards for senior management.
• Maintain effective communication with Front Office and ALM groups.
• Communicate clearly to resolve issues, changing priorities, and methodology disclosures.
