Job summary

AIMCo in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Summer Student to join the Economics & Investment Research function. The role focuses on applied quantitative economic and investment research, data analysis, and supporting macro research and client investment goals.

You will gather data, build models, prepare materials for investment teams, and participate in the development of LLM-based prompting strategies and pipelines to enhance decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience with R or Python
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
• Knowledge of econometrics and optimization is an asset

Responsibilities

• Conduct macroeconomic and investment data analysis to support client advice and portfolio management.
• Gather data and build statistical models for investment research projects.
• Prepare written materials and presentations for clients and investment teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discuss findings and develop innovative solutions.
• Contribute to building LLM-based prompting strategies, pipelines, and workflows.
