Job summary

Manulife Financial in Toronto invites motivated students to join a software engineering internship. You’ll contribute to building scalable applications, support development, testing, and debugging, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while gaining exposure to enterprise technologies.

The program runs April 29th to August 19th, 2027, in a hybrid setup with in-office Tue–Thu and optional remote Mon/Wed. Eligible students will join GRO, Manulife's premier early talent program.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.

Asa Software EngineeringIntern, you’ll gain hands‑on experience developing applications and systems that support business and customer solutions. You’ll work with modern development tools and frameworks to build scalable, high‑quality software while contributing to the full software development lifecycle. We are currently looking for highly motivated students to join us in our Toronto, Ontario, Canada office for a summer internship, running from April 29th – August 19th, 2027. This is a hybrid position, where you are expected to be in the office Tuesday‑Thursday, with the opportunity to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Position Responsibilities:

• Contribute to a team of engineers focused on building scalable, reliable applications

Compensation:

Please note the salary range is expected to be between $52,650 CAD to $70,200 CAD.

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro‑rated based on the length of the work-term.
