Job summary

Mackenzie Investments invites a motivated undergraduate to join our Toronto office for a Summer internship, May to August 2027. This full-time role offers hands-on exposure to research, reports, proposals, and collaboration with senior management in a leading Canadian asset-management environment.

Candidates must be enrolled in an applicable post-secondary program and eager to develop in financial services.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary education program.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Research, build proposals/reports and present findings to senior management.
• Review business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, including leveraging AI.
• Assist with project work dependent on business initiatives & marketing campaigns.
• Work closely with the sales team providing support on fund comparisons, pricing research, performance research, and territory planning.
• Demonstrate understanding of the wholesale investment sales model and support the sales process.

Position:

We are currently hiring an intern looking for a Summer term position, May to August 2027, in our Toronto Office. Candidates in an undergraduate program that will be returning to school after their internship are eligible to apply.

This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be eligible to work full-time for the entire duration of the program.

Responsibilities:

• Research, build proposals/reports and present findings to senior management
• Review business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, including leveraging AI
• Assist with project work dependent on business initiatives & marketing campaigns
• Work closely with the sales team providing support on fund comparisons, pricing research, performance research, competitive analysis, Salesforce & territory planning
• Demonstrate understanding of the wholesale investment sales model and support the sales process

The expected annual base salary range (prorated for the term) for this role is $49,000 - $51,000 which is determined based on year of study, IGM program, geographic location and candidate’s skills, knowledge and experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for paid time off.
