Job summary

RBC Amplify is an intensive summer innovation program in Canada designed to challenge students who are currently enrolled in post-secondary education. As a Developer, you will collaborate across business, data and programming teams to build a product that could disrupt our company and beyond.

Throughout the program you will access mentors, coaches and technical training, culminating in a fully functional prototype presented to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, graduating between Aug 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Understanding of programming languages, databases, platforms, frameworks, design techniques and tools, and web technologies.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and develop solutions.

• Research, design, create and deliver a fully functional prototype to RBC that solves a real business need.
• Work with cutting-edge technologies and APIs to build your solution.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, mentors and stakeholders to advance the project.
• Engage in training on design thinking, agile development and related tools.
• Prepare executive-style presentations and strategic communications for your project.
