Job summary

RBC Amplify offers a summer Data Engineer opportunity in Toronto. You will join a cross-functional team to ideate, design, and build a fully functional prototype addressing real RBC business needs.

The program provides mentors, coaches, and training in design thinking and agile practices to help you bring the idea to life. You will collaborate with business, data, and programming specialists, and present your progress to executives.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution and graduating between Aug 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Understanding of programming languages, databases, platforms, and web technologies.
• Experience with data transformation, cleaning and mining; data science techniques is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication, teamwork and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a cross-functional team to design and develop a prototype product.
• Apply design thinking, agile methods, and learn from coaches and mentors.
• Deliver a fully functional prototype to RBC stakeholders by the end of the program.
• Engage with subject matter experts and executives to refine the solution.
