Job summary

Paterson Grain is seeking motivated summer students to join our location operations in Swift Current, SK. You will assist in daily facility operations, inventory management, and administrative tasks while shadowing experienced staff.

This role offers exposure to grain handling, contracts, and customer interactions within a supportive team environment. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and hands-on learning across logistics, marketing support, and field-related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Ag Business, Agronomy, or related discipline.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn day-to-day operations.
• Farming/agricultural background is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with facility operations, including handling of fertilizer, crop protection products, and general maintenance.
• Shadow staff and help with inventory, loads, and documentation in AGRE.
• Support administration with customer service and processing of grain purchases, contracts, and reports.
• Assist with planning summer events and customer relations.
• Deliver chemicals and seed between Paterson Grain facilities.
