Job summary

Rogers Place in Edmonton is seeking a part-time Seasonal Suite Attendant to deliver premium food and beverage service in luxury suites during events.

You will stock suites, assist guests, verify IDs, and uphold safety standards while providing an elevated guest experience. This role requires evening, holiday, and weekend availability and a friendly, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server, suite attendant, or related role is required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Outgoing personality and ability to engage guests.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of food safety principles.
• Must obtain Compass and provincial alcohol service certifications.
• Physical ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure suites are stocked with food, beverages, and products per IDH standards.
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of suites and service areas during events.
• Replenish food and beverages during events as requested by guests.
• Adhere to alcohol service policies and check IDs.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and offerings.
• Provide elevated guest service and anticipate guests' needs.
• Break down and clean service areas after events and return equipment.
• Inventory product at the end of each event.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation policies; protect company assets.

Suite Attendants are responsible for taking customer orders and serving food and beverage according to customer requests.Suite Attendants provide a premium guest service experience by escalating and/or resolving any issues or special requests made by the guests in the suite(s). Essential functions and responsibilitiesof the position may vary by location based on client requirementsand business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures suites are stocked with proper food, beverage, and product before and during event based on IDH standards and suite holders' orders
• Maintains appearance and cleanliness of suite and food service areas during event
• Replenishes food and beverage product during event upon guests' requests
• Adheres to all alcohol service policies and safe drinking guidelines including checking guests' identification
• Maintains knowledge of menu items and all other offerings
• Provides an elevated level of customer service, anticipating guests' needs
• Breaks down and cleans food service areas and equipment post event; returns equipment to proper storage area
• Inventories product at the end of each event
• Maintains a positive attitude towards guests, customers, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Compass safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

• Previous experience as a server, suite attendant, or other related role required
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, communication, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrates an outgoing personality and has no concerns hosting and creating conversation with guests
• Demonstrates a can-do attitude and is a team player
• Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures
• Must be able to obtain all Compass and provincial required alcohol service certifications
• Requires constant standing and walking
• Requires frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs.
• Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends
