Job summary

Gardewine in Sudbury, Ontario, is seeking an AZ Linehaul Driver to deliver freight to multiple terminals across North America. The role involves overnight drives, trailer pickup/drop-off, and completing required paperwork, with most runs offering daily home time or one night out.

The ideal candidate has a valid Class 1 with airbrake, manual transmission experience, and a proven ability to work independently and safely at night.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Driver's license with airbrake endorsement in good standing.
• Experience with manual transmission (13/18 speed) required.
• Ability to work independently with a professional mindset.
• Demonstrated safety-conscious driving history.
• Proven history of night driving shifts.
• Minimum two years of highway driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver freight to various terminal locations across North America.
• Handle trailer pick up and drop offs; manage freight at customer sites as needed.
• Complete all required paperwork for shipments and trips.
• Operate overnight on long-haul routes; regional runs with home time.
• Maintain professional conduct and safety on all assignments.

AZ – Linehaul Driver - (Sudbury O.N.)

The Job

A Linehaul Driver is responsible for delivering freight to various terminal locations by providing friendly and helpful service to customers. Drivers are generally responsible for trailer pick up and drop offs but may be required to handle freight at customers’ locations. Generally, 10% or less physical activity using small equipment or hand moving freight. This is a long distance driving position therefore long periods of sitting required. Completes all paperwork as required for this position.

• Operating overnight / Slip seating / Open board / Mileage
• Regional deliveries, most runs result in you being home daily or one night out
• Trailer pick up and drop offs with small amount of freight at customers’ locations

The Need
