Job summary

Gardewine is seeking a Class 1 City/Regional Driver to handle freight deliveries, either temperature controlled or dry, from a terminal to surrounding communities in Red Lake, Ontario. The role is daylight-focused and physically demanding, with tailgate work and occasional manual handling.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid A/Z license with air brake, be able to operate manual and automatic tractors, and demonstrate strong customer service, independence, and safety awareness in all freight

Qualifications

• Valid A/Z Drivers license with airbrake endorsement in good standing.
• Must be able to drive a manual and auto tractor.
• Proven skill set to deliver strong customer service.
• Ability to work independently.
• Professional mindset.
• Prior experience using freight handling equipment.

• Experience with all types of pick up/delivery activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver freight (temperature controlled or dry) from terminal to surrounding communities.
• Work schedule will primarily be days.
• Assist with loading/unloading as needed and ensure safe operation of equipment.

A/Z – City / Regional Driver (Red Lake O.N.)

The Job

The Class 1 City / Regional Driver will be responsible for completing all types of freight deliveries either temperature controlled or dry, from terminal to surrounding communities. Work schedule will primarily be days. The position is physically demanding with freight handling needs of tailgate work, hand bombing and or wheeling in freight as needed.
