Job summary

Syntax is hiring a SuccessFactors Technical Consultant (CPI / BTP) to design and implement integration solutions for SAP cloud and on-premise environments. You will work with clients and internal teams to deliver scalable interfaces and iFlows.

Remote-friendly role with flexible hours and ongoing training; strong knowledge of SAP middleware and BTP is essential for success at Syntax.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors integrations CPI/BTP.
• 3–5 years experience as Technical Consultant.
• IAS/IPS, SSO implementations.
• Experience with middleware technologies (Boomi, SAP BTP).
• Experience with SAP HCM is a plus.
• Awareness of AMS processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop inbound/outbound interfaces between SAP cloud and on-premise.
• Configure and extend iFlows.
• Create custom iFlows and exception handling.
• Handle CPI adapters to exchange messages.
• Create value mappings and Groovy for iFlow.
• Perform data format conversions (JSON/XML/CSV).
• Utilize CPI pallets for transformations and enrichment.
• Assist in pre-sales and workshop demonstrations.
• Support workshops and assist leads.

SuccessFactors Technical Consultant (CPI / BTP)

The SuccessFactors Technical Consultant is a key role at Syntax.

Responsibilities:

• Experience in developing inbound and outbound interfaces to/from the cloud to On-Premise and Cloud instances of SAP Products
• Experience in configuration and extension of standard iFlows.
• Experience in defining custom iFlows, local & exception sub-processes, exception handling
• Expertise in handling various integration adapters in SAP CPI (SFSF, ODATA, SFTP, IDOC, SOAP, HTTP, Process Direct, REST Adapters) to exchange messages between sender and receiver
• Knowledge on developing value mapping and Groovy and using it in iFlow
• Experience in handling different data conversions like JSON to XML, CSV to XML, etc.
• Experience in using various CPI pallet options (integration patterns – message transformations, enricher, splitter, etc.) and experience in SAP BTP Experience in handling security artifacts, encryption, and decryption mechanisms and SSH keys
• Desirable Experience with EDI integrations, API management.
• Desirable Experience on AMS projects and is aware of the Service processes of AMS
• Provides support for pre-sales initiatives that include developing and reviewing roadmaps, estimates, and responses to RFP/RFQ’s.
• Able to complete/assist in demonstration set ups and create and delivers high quality demonstrations and presentations.
• Responsible for supporting functional and technical leads in workshops.
• Designs and supports proof of concepts to demonstrate proposed technical solutions.
• Assists and review the preparation of workshop/training materials.
• Proactively identifies process improvements, including clear and concise solution definitions.
• Gathers and analyzes the clients’ business requirements and objectives.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of SuccessFactors integrations (CPI/BTP)
• 3-5 years experience in the role of Technical Consultant
• Implementation of IAS/IPS, SSO
• Confident engaging with all levels of management both customer and internal
• Extensive knowledge of middleware technologies such as Boomi, SAP BTP, Integration Center
• Experience with SAP HCM (on-premise) an asset but not required
• Experience with GenAI, Machine Learning an asset but not required
