Job summary

Region 4 Schools is seeking a Substitute Nurse (Per Diem) for the 2026-2027 SY to support Chester, Deep River, Essex Elementary, and Region 4 Schools. Must hold a Connecticut Registered Nurse license and meet CT General Statutes for school nursing.

Prior experience with school-aged students is preferred and availability ASAP is desired. Responsibilities include providing health services in the school setting, coordinating with staff, and ensuring student well-being during the day.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse per CT General Statutes
• Currently licensed in the State of Connecticut (CT)
• Experience with school-aged children is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute nursing services for K-12 students
• Administer medications and perform basic healthcare routines
• Collaborate with school staff to support student health needs

Summary: A Substitute Nurse position is available for Region No. Four Supervision District ( Chester, Deep River, Essex Elementary, andRegion 4 Schools) . Must be a Registered Nurse as defined in Section 20-87a CT General Statutes, currently licensed in the State of Connecticut, meeting qualifications of a school nurse as specified by CT General Statutes Section 10-212, State Board of Education Law.

Experience working with elementary, middle and high school students is preferred.
