Pay Grade: The annual salary range is $70,437- $112,872 (at 100% appointment) based on qualifications, experience, and placement criteria of Article 14 of the NICFA Collective agreement.
Position Summary: North Island College is seeking a qualified substitute instructor for the Automotive Service Technician program at our Campbell River and/or Port Alberni Campuses. Responsibilities include instructing Foundation and Apprenticeship programming as per institutional and provincial outcomes and standards. Instruction encompasses comprehensive theory and technical training specific to AST. Other responsibilities include curriculum development, lesson planning, tool and equipment maintenance, participating in recruitment initiatives, and liaising with regional employers.
The teaching faculty of North Island College are responsible for implementing the College’s vision, goals, and objectives as they relate to teaching and learning. Faculty use organizational skills, inter-personal skills, and knowledge of subject matter, pedagogy, and curricular design. They also serve as role models for students and colleagues.
