Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Subcontracts Coordinator for the CanAtom project in Ontario.

Reporting to the Subcontracts Manager, you will issue material requisitions, coordinate purchases, review requisitions, and ensure quality and schedule compliance while liaising with Project Team, Engineering, Construction and Procurement. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the Construction Industry in a procurement or project coordination role.
• Bachelor's degree or educational background in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Engineering is required.
• Able to travel between Whitby-Tricont office, Pickering office and site on occasion.
• Experience in drafting and administering contracts.
• Basic knowledge of contract administration procedures.
• Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is critical.
• Good interpersonal skills are essential.
• Customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Subcontracts for services including post‑award contract administration tasks.
• Coordinate purchases for a wide range of materials and services.
• Prepare and review purchase requisitions and related documentation to ensure clarity and completeness with the description of materials, components or equipment, quantity, adherence to quality assurance requirements, and obtain required authorization to proceed with the purchase.
• Enter purchase requisitions and other associated essential data into the Project database SAP or other similar system.
• Ensure proper drawings, technical specifications, and quotes are included with the SAP requisitions.
• Serve as the primary liaison to maintain effective communication between the Project Team, Engineering, Construction and Procurement to ensure materials and services are purchased in accordance with quality requirements while adhering to schedule.
• Work closely with the Procurement team to develop reports and provide updates as required regarding delivery dates and financial data.
• Monitor material deliveries to assist Procurement and Materials Management teams to identify critical deliveries to site.
• Expedite materials as required.
• Work from Whitby-Tricont Office.

What is the Opportunity?

CanAtom, a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon, is delivering the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project under a collaborative contract with Ontario Power Generation. The joint venture is underway to complete the retube, feeder, and boiler replacement (RFBR) of Units 5–8. Building on the successful delivery of the Darlington Refurbishment Project, the CanAtom team brings proven experience in safely executing complex nuclear projects on time and on budget to support Ontario’s clean energy future.

Reporting to the Subcontracts Manager, the Subcontracts Coordinator is responsible for issuing material requisitions of commodities, equipment, and services as well as shipping/receiving functions.

The expected pay range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 per year. Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
