Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking a Subcontractor Default Insurance Coordinator in Oakville, Ontario. In this role, you will manage risk, support project success, and partner with stakeholders.

Your responsibilities include maintaining the subcontractor prequalification database, evaluating financial assessments, and liaising with subcontractors. Successful candidates will have 1 to 3 years of credit management experience and a degree in Finance or a related field.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in credit management strongly preferred.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to review and analyze financial statements.

Here's how a Subcontractor Default Insurance Coordinator for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. within Toronto contributes to our team:

• Maintain and update subcontractor prequalification database
• Review, evaluate and prepare reports on financial assessments, and analyze qualification submissions from subcontractors
• Meet with subcontractors as needed to review and obtain prequalification information, including financial statements
• Evaluate subcontractor capacity and assist in developing project-specific risk mitigation plans
• Meet with internal teams to understand prequalification requirements
• Liaise with credit associations and references
• Prepare reports on prequalification status, subcontractor utilization, and other reporting as required
• Assist with presentations on the prequalification process
• Monitor subcontract values, subcontract security and risk mitigation plans
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in credit management strongly preferred
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is considered an asset
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to review, interpret, and analyze financial statements to assess financial performance and trends.
• Strong customer service skills; comfortable and capable of telephone outreach and communication with subcontractors
• Team player with effective interpersonal skills
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and professional judgment
• Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Knowledge of the construction industry is considered an asset
• Knowledge/experience with Oracle, Enterprise One software, Power B.I and Compass software is considered an asset

The estimated salary range for this role is $61,000 - $79,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
