Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Ottawa is seeking a Subcontract Administrator to manage procurement documents for defense programs, including drafting subcontracts and evaluating proposals. You will lead negotiations with suppliers, prepare RFPs, and coordinate with contracts administration to ensure compliance with PSPC regulations and company policies.

The role requires 3–5 years in subcontract administration or procurement within defence, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of Subcontract Administration and/or procurement experience in the defence sector.
  • Strong negotiations and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with PSPC procurement regulations and terms and conditions.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Standard Job Description

Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontracts in support of development, production and global sustainment for multiple contract types. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages for review, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures. May sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.

As an integral part of the Subcontract Management Team, the Subcontract Administrator will:

  • Conduct competitions; evaluates proposals; and supports source selections

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university

  • 3-5 years of Subcontract Administration and/or procurement experience in the defence sector
  • Strong negotiations and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) procurement regulations and terms and conditions
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with supply chain management or buying or procurement or related field
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Systems, Applications and Processes (SAP)
