Job summary

Brookstreet Hotel Corporation in Ottawa is seeking a seasoned Housekeeping Manager to lead the Styling team responsible for the cleanliness of all public areas and guest rooms. You will drive service excellence, cost-conscious operations and a culture of high-quality standards across the department.

You will build and mentor a large, service‑oriented team, hire and train staff, and ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences while managing labour productivity and inventories.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive housekeeping management.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a large and diverse workforce.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with solid cost management understanding.
• Proactive, meticulous with high quality and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Styling team responsible for cleanliness of all public areas and guest rooms including restaurants, gym and spa.
• Contribute to hotel success through strong business acumen and commitment to exemplary Employee and Guest experience.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team through hiring, training and motivation of staff.
• Promote a culture in line with the hotel vision of being an employer of choice where employees can achieve personal best.
• Direct all aspects of the Styling Department while maintaining profitable operations and highest quality standards.
• Control costs by managing labour productivity and inventory.
• Manage operation creatively to satisfy guests, employees and financial expectations.
• Conduct quality inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure top cleanliness levels.
• Be available on weekends/evenings/overnights due to 24-7 operations.

• Quality inspections of Guest Rooms and all Public areas ensuring the highest level of cleanliness.
• As you have a team that works 24-7 you will be required to be available some weekends and evenings and overnights
