Job summary

Chinook School Division #211 is seeking an Educational Assistant for Swift Current Comprehensive High School. This permanent part-time position (0.917 FTE / 5.5 hours per day) supports diverse learners in a collaborative school community.

Start date: August 26, 2026 or as soon as possible after. Responsibilities include one-on-one and small group support, assisting with speech, motor and language development, and contributing to Individual Improvement Plans.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant certification or early childhood training is preferred.
• Ability to work with children in a school setting.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; positive attitude toward change.

Responsibilities

• Meet health and hygiene needs of children as required.
• Work one-on-one with students and in classroom settings.
• Provide individualized support in speech, motor, and language development and social skills.

Qualifications

• Ability and experience in working with children
• Physical ability to work with active students

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
