Cowessess First Nation invites applications for a Student Support Teacher / Life Skills Coordinator at the Cowessess Community Educational Centre. The role focuses on inclusive, culturally responsive education, developing inter­vention plans, and coordinating Life Skills programming to support student success.

You will collaborate with families, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and external agencies, ensuring documentation and reporting meet HCSE and ISC requirements while promoting well‑being,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education degree from a recognized post‑secondary institution.
• Valid Saskatchewan Professional ‘A’ Teaching Certificate and current registration with the SPTRB.
• Special education, inclusive education, or related area would be an asset.
• Experience supporting students with intensive and diverse learning needs and developing IIPs.
• Criminal record and vulnerable sector checks required.

Responsabilités

• Support student success through inclusive, culturally responsive educational practices.
• Lead development, implementation, monitoring, and review of Inclusion and Intervention Plans (IIPs).
• Coordinate Life Skills, transition, or functional programming.
• Collaborate with families, school staff, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community agencies.
• Maintain documentation and reporting for HCSE and ISC requirements.
