You will build relationships with ITEP students, develop strategies to support and retain students from year one to year four, and coordinate events while safeguarding confidentiality and respecting Indigenous cultures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education Degree and Saskatchewan teaching eligibility or ability to obtain.
• Experience working with First Nations, Metis and Inuit cultures and curricula.
• Experience advising in a post-secondary setting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with ITEP Students.
• Identify, develop and implement strategies to assist, support and retain ITEP Students from year 1 to year 4.
• Assess, evaluate and support culturally sensitive academic needs.
• Assist students in addressing barriers hindering their success.
• Offer support through tutorials, workshops and study opportunities.
• Link students with campus support to promote mental health and academic success.
• Assist ITEP staff with events such as registration seminars, orientations and cultural activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and confidentiality practices.
