The Student Services Manager leads the delivery of high-quality support services for both prospective and current students. This role combines student welfare, local sales and admissions operations, and accommodation management to ensure an excellent student experience. The following responsibilities summarize the role. Key Responsibilities :
- Customer Service & Sales
- Support student recruitment through walk-ins, reenrollments, and agent communication
- Plan and deliver engaging events and student activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet service and sales targets
Student Welfare
- Oversee student wellbeing, including safeguarding and U18 care
- Serve as the main point of contact for student issues and emergency support
- Maintain a respectful, safe, and vibrant school culture
Accommodation Management
- Manage host family and residence bookings
- Address student housing issues and maintain high occupancy levels
- Coordinate with Sales and Admissions to forecast accommodation needs
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure smooth delivery of group bookings and student services
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
- Prepare reports and materials for Languages Canada audits
- Support accreditation requirements and continuous quality improvement
Team Management
- Oversee the student services team members: Activity Coordinator, Accommodation Officer, and other team members
Knowledge, Qualification, and Experience
- Postsecondary education in Business, Education, Hospitality, International Relations, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in student services, customer service, education management, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of student support services, including welfare, accommodation, visa advising (where appropriate), and activities programming
- Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service and achieving high client satisfaction
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM or other student management systems
Preferred
- Experience working with international students or in a multicultural environment
- Familiarity with sales and admissions processes within educational institutions
- Knowledge of local regulatory requirements for international students (e.g., visa compliance)
- Event planning and student engagement experience
- Fluency in a second language is an asset
