Job summary

Frontier School Division is seeking a dedicated Student Services Consultant for the Thompson area, MB. This permanent full-time role works with school staff to support student achievement through targeted curriculum implementation and intervention programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Manitoba teaching certificate with an Inclusive Education credential and a Master’s in Education. Travel across the area is required, with opportunities for professional growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Manitoba teaching certificate and an Inclusive Education degree/certificate are required.
• Master's in Education in Inclusive Education is required.
• Experience as a resource teacher and classroom experience is needed.
• Knowledge of provincial curricular outcomes, instructional strategies, resources and assessments.
• Ability to work with students with various disabilities and special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to administrators, resource teachers and classroom teachers for appropriate programming, including individualized programming and assistive technology as needed.
• Participate in development and execution of the Division's strategic and school plans.
• Lead development and implementation of instructional resources, strategies and assessment for students with special needs, including funding applications.
