Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a Student Optician for a casual part-time in-store role in Toronto, Ontario. You will learn and apply optical theory, assist customers with selections, and perform eyewear fittings under supervision to deliver Signature Customer Experiences.

The role emphasizes strong communication, sales skills, and comfort with technology, including tablets, to engage patients and colleagues while contributing to a high-quality retail experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Opticianry program
• Optical dispensing experience
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise
• Knowledge of current store merchandise assortment and use of Inventory management systems
• Strong communicator and listener
• Sales skills – ability to use and carry a IPAD / tablet
• Comfortable with use of technology to engage patients, customers and associates.

• Records measurements, adjusts/fits eyewear correctly, ensure it meets customer needs
• Operates the Point of Sale terminal inputting customer and prescription information with accuracy and attention to detail
• Takes pride in appearance of the store & visual displays
