Job summary

Peace Wapiti Public School Division in Hythe, Alberta, is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Educational Assistant (19.5 hours/week). The Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certificated teacher.

You will support students in a student-focused, collaborative environment, assist with personal care and physical tasks, and help maintain a safe, orderly classroom. A current Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector) dated within six months is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Educational Assistant Diploma preferred.
• CPR/First Aid would be considered an asset.
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred.
• Ability to perform required physical tasks and assist with personal care.
• Willingness to meet outside of school hours and work as part of a team.
