Job summary

FCC is offering a four-month Student, Finance Operations Technician placement in Canada. You will gain hands-on experience supporting finance and lending activities, including loan administration, payment processing, reporting, and data analysis, while collaborating with FCC professionals across the organization.

You’ll contribute to process improvements, maintain data integrity, and support service delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a diploma or bachelor's degree program in business administration, finance, accounting, commerce, economics, data analytics or a related field
• Strong interest in financial services, finance operations, lending, accounting, reporting or business processes
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality and operational efficiency
• Provide administrative and operational support for projects, initiatives and periods of increased workload

How you'll make an impact

As a Student, Finance Operations Technician, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting a variety of finance and lending activities. Depending on business needs, you'll assist with loan administration, payment processing, reporting, data analysis and process improvement initiatives that help ensure efficient and accurate business operations.

You'll work alongside finance professionals and internal partners across FCC, developing your skills while contributing to projects and day-to-day activities that support organizational success.

• Previous experience through coursework, internships, co-op placements, summer employment, volunteer work or student projects involving finance, accounting, administration, reporting, customer service or business operations
• Knowledge of financial services, lending, accounting, payment processing, business administration or data analysis concepts
• Experience working with data entry, reporting, financial transactions or administrative processes requiring a high degree of accuracy
• Experience using data, reports, CRM systems or other business applications to support decision-making and process improvements
• Bilingualism (English and French)
