Ovintiv Canada ULC invites motivated students to join its summer internship in Safety. You will work with an experienced mentor and contribute to field safety programs across upstream oil and gas operations.
Eligible candidates must be enrolled full-time through December 2027, reside in Grande Prairie, AB or Dawson Creek, BC, and be willing to travel Western Canada. A valid Class 5 license is required, with staging for May 3 to Aug 19, 2027.

Ovintiv’s program is a comprehensive summer internship designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and experiential training while giving students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in school in a real-world setting. As an intern you will spend the summer working closely with an experienced mentor and be assigned various other responsibilities intended to provide you with learning opportunities while delivering meaningful contributions to Ovintiv.
Ovintiv is dedicated to ensuring the safety and health of our workforce and the communities in which we operate. Interns in our Safety team gain valuable hands‑on experience supporting field operations across the upstream oil and gas industry. To ensure interns are given meaningful, value-added assignments, we do not create specific work assignments until a successful candidate is selected.
In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role. Hiring Hourly Range: $23.13 - $32.02 CAD Compensation may vary and will be determined by year in school. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.
