Job summary

Imperial in Calgary seeks a UDA Business Analyst Student to join the Upstream Digital Accelerator. You will work with site operators, engineers, data scientists, and developers to translate business needs into practical digital solutions.

You will define requirements, analyze data, build business cases, and prototype analytics and automation solutions while learning how AI and data platforms boost industrial operations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university program and returning to full-time studies after the work term.
• University student available for a work term beginning in January or May 2027.
• Must submit unofficial transcript(s) with application.

Responsibilities

• Understand operational challenges and translate needs into clear requirements and actionable work items.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to prioritize work based on value and feasibility.
• Develop business cases, value assessments, project plans, and roadmaps.
• Collect, clean, analyze, and visualize data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Support design, development, testing, and prototyping of analytics, automation, or software solutions.
• Document process and data models and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.
