Job summary

Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc in Longueuil, QC, is seeking a Student - Branch Coordinator to support client service, documentation flow, and process improvements in a hybrid setting.

The role offers exposure to financial products (RRSPs, TFSAs, mutual funds, GICs) and collaboration across teams, with training, mentoring and flexible schedules for students pursuing study commitments.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong time management with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and collaborative work environments.
  • Interest in financial services; CSC consideration possible.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

  • Process and organize confidential client documentation for non-financial account updates and redemptions.
  • Analyze and resolve complex situations with escalation when needed.
  • Communicate with clients and team members via phone, email and collaboration platforms.
  • Support advisors on projects using Teams and SharePoint.
  • Maintain client databases and generate AUA reports in Excel.
  • Help automate repetitive tasks with RPA tools and macros.
  • Maintain knowledge of RRSPs, TFSAs, funds and GICs.
  • Document processes and support onboarding and training of new staff.

What you will accomplish with us

As a Student - Branch Coordinator, you will be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Process and organize confidential client documentation related to non-financial account updates and account redemptions while ensuring accuracy and compliance;
  • Analyze and resolve complex situations using sound judgment and escalation channels when required;
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members through various channels, including telephone, email, and collaboration platforms;
  • Support advisors and associates on projects by leveraging tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint;
  • Maintain client databases and generate Assets Under Administration (AUA) reports using Microsoft Excel while ensuring data integrity and accessibility;
  • Contribute to operational efficiency by leveraging Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools and macros to automate repetitive tasks;
  • Provide informed support by maintaining knowledge of financial products, including RRSPs, TFSAs, mutual funds, and GICs;
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by documenting processes, identifying optimization opportunities, and supporting the onboarding and training of new team members.

  • Has a proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams);
  • Possesses an advanced level of French proficiency is required, as the incumbent will be required to communicate verbally and in writing with unilingual French-speaking clients on a daily basis;
  • Possesses an advanced level of English proficiency, as the individual will be required to communicate verbally and in writing with English-speaking external and internal partners and clients across Canada on a daily basis.

The typical hiring range for this position is $23.50 to $28,75 CAD per hour; the base salary offered varies depending on years of study and the position status (student or intern).
