Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor degree in business, commerce, information technology, computer science.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python; exposure to low-code tools and data analysis is an asset.
  • Experience or interest in AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Gemini, Claude, or similar technologies is a plus.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Customer Success & Innovation team in developing a customer roadmap based on business impact and feasibility.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and usage data to understand needs and pain points.
  • Translate requirements and workflows into clear technical and business recommendations.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to improve efficiency with data and technology solutions.
  • Support pilots, proofs of concept and documentation to enable broader adoption.

You will be a Student Analyst of Technology Strategy and Innovation, your primary role is to support ongoing initiatives in the Customer Success & Innovation team. You will gain experience fostering relationships through effective communication, supporting technology-enabled solutions/implementation across different business functions (including capital markets, investments, corporate functions, Oxford etc.), and aligning technology with business objectives. You will play a role in ensuring that customers achieve their desired outcomes while using Data and Technology products and services by understanding their needs, pain points, and workflows, and supporting practical solutions that improve satisfaction, adoption, and success. This position is fit for someone with a keen understanding of technology, business acumen, the ability to build relationships through effective communication, and a desire to work on a customer-focused technology team that translates business challenges into technology-enabled outcomes.

You will be responsible for:
  • Business Discovery & Customer Success support the team to develop and maintain a customer roadmap with the products and initiatives based on business impact, customer value, and technological feasibility.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and usage data of various Data and Technology services to understand customer needs and pain points.
  • Translate customer pain points and business workflows into clear requirements, solution ideas, and implementation considerations for technical and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate curiosity in understanding private and public markets workflows and identify opportunities where technology, automation, data, and AI can improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Assist with development of recommendations and presentations of various product and services applicable to the Customers based on their needs.
  • Apply independent, sound judgment and navigate complex issues with a view to customer success.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Education: Pursuing a bachelor degree in business, commerce, information technology, computer science.
  • Technical Stack: Good to have proficiency in SQL and Python, with exposure to low-code tools, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, data analysis, or artificial intelligence-enabled workflows considered an asset.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Gemini, Claude, or similar technologies is an asset.
  • Demonstrated interest in understanding core AI concepts such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tokenization, prompting, and the trade-offs between different AI tools and approaches is considered an asset.
  • Soft Skills & Competencies: Excellent presentation skills, organization, communication, problem solving and prioritization skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an environment with competing priorities. Experience working with and successfully supporting customers. Basic understanding of business operations, technology trends, and how digital tools can improve day-to-day workflows. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills – the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language for the business and other stakeholders. Demonstrate curiosity in business processes and emerging technologies, comfort working through ambiguity, and a willingness to challenge established thinking to help generate new ideas and approaches to problem solving.
Salary and Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $50,700.00 - $70,200.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract. You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
