Job summary

5 River Stucco & Stone Ltd. in Kelowna, BC is seeking a skilled stucco plasterer to apply, level and finish plaster on building exteriors and interiors. The role requires preparing surfaces, curing finishes, and creating decorative details as needed.

You must have 3–5 years of experience, a secondary school certificate, and be able to work on-site for 30–40 hours per week at CAD 37 per hour. This is a permanent, full-time position with immediate start.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of stucco plastering experience.
• Ability to apply, level and smooth coats of plaster.
• Capable of cleaning surfaces and curing plaster.
• Ability to finish corners and create decorative designs if required.

Responsibilities

• Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
• Clean and prepare surfaces
• Cure freshly plastered surfaces
• Finish corners and angles; decorative designs if required
• Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
• Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
• Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
• Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors to form weatherproof surfaces
• Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is applied
