Job summary

ISL Buildings team in Western Canada seeks a skilled Revit user for a hybrid role in Calgary or Saskatoon. You will build BIM models and draft drawings, coordinating with project teams to meet client needs.

You’ll apply drafting standards, support project delivery, and contribute to continuous improvement while exploring new building activities and opportunities from automation and AI.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in modelling, drafting and project lifecycle of buildings.
• Experience with drafting standards and coordination across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Build structural BIM models in Revit in coordination with project team members.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, and coordinate them with other project team members.
• Collaborate with other ISL disciplines to meet multidisciplinary and client needs, and work with fellow drafters to find efficiencies.
• Apply drafting standards and policies consistently.
• Potential to assist with contract administration to support project delivery.
• Maintain and organize project folders and filing standards.
• Help update drafting standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Explore building-related activities such as permits, specifications, and materials research.
• Discover opportunities from automation and AI.

About The Role

You will join a Buildings team that offers a diverse range of projects and is committed to mentoring and growing its people. You will see projects through the entire lifecycle, from conception to completion, with the flexibility of a hybrid work model. Along the way, you will make the following valuable contributions:

• Build structural BIM models in Revit in coordination with project team members.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, and coordinate them with other members of the project team.
• Collaborate with other ISL disciplines to meet multidisciplinary and client needs, and work with fellow drafters to find efficiencies.
• Apply drafting standards and policies consistently.
• Potential to assist with contract administration to support the delivery of our projects.
• Keep project folders organized and consistent with filing standards.
• Maintain and help update drafting standards, and take an active part in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Potential to take on new building-related activities such as preparing. specifications, building and development permits, and researching materials and building systems.
• Discover and share new creative opportunities from automation and AI.

• Diploma in Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology from an accredited institution.
• Relevant experience in the modelling, drafting and project lifecycle of buildings and structures.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.

Depending on your experience level, the salary range (based on a 40-hour work week) is:

$60,000 - $95,000
