Job summary

ISL is seeking a skilled Revit user to join its Buildings team in a hybrid role based in Calgary or Saskatoon. You will work on landmark infrastructure projects, mentoring teammates while handling BIM modeling, drafting, and coordination across disciplines.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, collaboration, and flexible working hours, with compensation in the 60,000–95,000 CAD range, depending on experience. Strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset are valued.

Responsibilities

• Build structural BIM models in Revit in coordination with project team members.
• Prepare and review structural drawings and coordinate with project team.
• Collaborate with ISL disciplines to meet multidisciplinary needs and improve efficiency.
• Apply drafting standards and policies consistently.
• Support contract administration to aid project delivery.
• Keep project folders organized and filing standards consistent.
• Contribute to drafting standards updates and continuous improvement.
• Explore new building activities like permits, materials research, and AI opportunities.

About the Role

You will join a Buildings team that offers a diverse range of projects and is committed to mentoring and growing its people. You will see projects through the entire lifecycle, from conception to completion, with the flexibility of a hybrid work model. Along the way, you will make the following valuable contributions:

• Build structural BIM models in Revit in coordination with project team members.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, and coordinate them with other members of the project team.
• Collaborate with other ISL disciplines to meet multidisciplinary and client needs, and work with fellow drafters to find efficiencies.
• Apply drafting standards and policies consistently.
• Potential to assist with contract administration to support the delivery of our projects.
• Keep project folders organized and consistent with filing standards.

• Maintain and help update drafting standards, and take an active part in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Potential to take on new building-related activities such as preparing. specifications, building and development permits, and researching materials and building systems.
• Discover and share new creative opportunities from automation and AI.

Depending on your experience level, the salary range (based on a 40-hour work week) is:
