Job summary

ISL is seeking a skilled Revit user to join its Buildings team in a hybrid role based in Calgary or Saskatoon. You will build BIM models, draft structural drawings, and coordinate across disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings diploma-level architectural/engineering technology, experience with Revit and related tools, and a collaborative mindset to mentor teammates and grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology from an accredited institution.
• Relevant experience in modelling, drafting and project lifecycle of buildings and structures.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
• Projects where multitasking and prioritizing work were key.

Responsibilities

• Build structural BIM models in Revit in coordination with project team members.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, and coordinate them with other members of the project team.
• Collaborate with other ISL disciplines to meet multidisciplinary and client needs, and work with fellow drafters to find efficiencies.
• Apply drafting standards and policies consistently.
• Potential to assist with contract administration to support project delivery.
• Keep project folders organized and consistent with filing standards.
• Maintain and help update drafting standards, and take part in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Potential to take on new building-related activities such as preparing specifications, building and development permits, and researching materials and building systems.
• Discover and share new creative opportunities from automation and AI.

About the Role

You will join a Buildings team that offers a diverse range of projects and is committed to mentoring and growing its people. You will see projects through the entire lifecycle, from conception to completion, with the flexibility of a hybrid work model. Along the way, you will make the following valuable contributions:

Depending on your experience level, the salary range (based on a 40-hour work week) is:

$60,000 - $95,000
