Job summary

PTW Energy Services in Calgary, AB is seeking a Structural Steel Fitter for a full-time day shift. You will interpret drawings, lay out heavy metal components, and operate metalworking equipment to fabricate and install assemblies in our shop.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of industrial experience, weld courses, and ideally Red Seal certification. You will work in a safety-conscious team focused on quality workmanship and on-time project completion.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of commercial/industrial experience.
• Welding courses and Red Seal certification are assets.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and plan material selection and cutting sequences.
• Prepare, lay out, and detail heavy metal components to specification.
• Set up and operate metalworking equipment including torches, grinders, drills, and punches.
• Fit, torch cut, assemble, and install fabricated components to final stage.
• Safely rig and move materials while maintaining organized, compliant work areas.

Role Summary:

We are currently hiring Structural Steel Fitters for full-time positions in our steel fabrication shop in Calgary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings and plan efficient material selection and cutting sequences
• Prepare, lay out, and detail heavy metal components to specification
• Set up and operate metalworking equipment, including torches, grinders, drills, and punches
• Fit, torch cut, assemble, and install fabricated components to final stage
