Job summary

PTW Energy Services in Calgary is seeking two experienced Structural Steel Estimators to join our Calgary team. You will develop competitive estimates for industrial, commercial and energy sector projects, working with clients, suppliers and project teams to turn drawings and specs into winning bids.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of Canadian structural steel estimating experience, strong take-off and costing skills, and proficiency with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Tekla or FabSuite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural steel estimating experience in Canada.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, take-offs, costing, and bid preparation.
• Experience interpreting structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Understanding of Canadian standards, construction practices, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency with estimating and take-off software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Tekla, FabSuite, or similar platforms.
• A track record of successfully bidding and securing steel projects.

In this role, you’ll work closely with clients, suppliers, project teams, and industry partners to develop competitive, accurate estimates for projects across a variety of industrial, commercial, and energy sectors.

What You’ll Bring
