Job summary

DMC Recruitment is seeking a Structural Engineer for a hands-on role in Brandon, Manitoba. The engineer will design and review wood-frame and post frame structures, stamp drawings, support estimating, and collaborate with drafting and production teams.

Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. The ideal applicant will have a Civil/Structural engineering degree and be eligible for Manitoba P.Eng. registration, with experience in wood-frame or modular construction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Manitoba or eligible to obtain registration is required.
• Experience in structural design for wood-frame, post frame, modular, residential, agricultural or light commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications and structural requirements to support estimating.
• Prepare preliminary structural designs and calculations for post frame and modular projects.
• Stamp and review structural drawings within professional scope.
• Coordinate with drafting, sales and estimating teams on technical questions.
• Conduct occasional site inspections and prepare field reports.
