Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Calgary is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead the design and analysis of modular packages and industrial steel structures. The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, at least 10-15 years of experience, and strong knowledge of structural codes. Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Role

We’re hiring aStructural Engineerto lead structural design and analysis for modular packages and industrial steel structures. You’ll support projects from design through fabrication, and work closely with Engineering, Project Management, and the shop floor to deliver code-compliant, buildable designs.

What You’ll Do

• Design and analyze industrial structures (modules, skids, platforms, equipment supports)
• Perform static/dynamic analysis (natural frequency/time-history where required)
• Complete lifting and transportation assessments (road/sea)
• Design connections, lugs, baseplates, and anchor interfaces
• Support fabrication teams with RFIs, fit-up issues, and structural clarifications
• Prepare calculation packages and engineering reports

What You Bring

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or Mechanical with strong structural focus)
• P.Eng (AB and/or BC)or eligible within 6 months
• 10-15+ yearsin industrial structural design (fabrication/modular is ideal)
• Strong knowledge of structural codes (CSA/CISC/AISC/NBC)
• Experience with tools such as RISA 3D, STAAD Pro, IDEA StatiCa (or similar)
