Job summary

A proudly Canadian engineering firm is seeking an experienced Intermediate Structural Engineer to join their Kelowna office. The role involves leading bridge design, inspection, and rehabilitation projects as well as working within a dynamic team focused on structural projects. Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of experience, be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.   • Tender package preparation including developing supplementary technical specifications.

In this role you will be responsible for bridge design, inspection and rehabilitation projects and will join a dynamic team active on structural projects with a focus on the bridge sector.

What You’ll Do

Lead bridge design, inspection and rehabilitation projects with the support of senior staff and further develop proficient skills in all areas of project delivery, including:

  • Inspection and assessment of existing bridge structures for municipal clients.
  • Design of concrete rehabilitation for municipal bridges.
  • Design of municipal and highway bridges.
  • Design of earth retaining structures.
  • Tender package preparation including developing supplementary technical specifications for use with the MMCD contract document framework.
  • Contract administration in accordance with MMCD.

  • Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer with EGBC.
  • 4+ years of structural bridge engineering experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution.
