Opportunity

Intermediate Structural Bridge Engineer in our Vancouver office. The role involves undertaking a variety of bridge projects for diverse clients, including BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, BC Ministry of Forest Lands and Natural Resource Operations, municipalities, and private sector clients.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and technologists delivering bridge and transportation infrastructure projects across Western Canada.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively, with opportunities to develop engineering career.
  • Plan, design, and analyze new and existing bridge structures, including conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases.
  • Inspect and manage bridge inventories; assess and rehabilitate bridges.
  • Prepare and administer contracts.
  • Conduct condition assessments and create project management plans.
  • Participate in business development and prepare proposals.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution.
  • Eligibility for professional registration with EGBC.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering.
  • Experience with design, specifications, scheduling, cost estimating, tendering, construction, and inspections of bridges.
  • Proven technical skills.
  • Project management skills are an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
