Your Contribution
Your Main Responsibilities

• Proficient in wood construction projects.
• Perform structural site investigations, inspections, reviews, and prepare technical reports and compliance letters.
• Describe existing structural conditions and provide engineering solutions through assessments and studies.
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and design of structural elements using current codes and standards.
• Manage and produce deliverables such as drawings and specifications with accuracy.
• Manage projects to meet schedule and budget targets.
• Interact regularly with clients and contractors.
• Review designs and drawings from junior team members, providing mentorship.
• Review contractor submittals and develop design modifications as needed.
• Market services to clients via business development initiatives.
• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules.

Your Profile

• Registered with the provincial association (APEGA).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Experience in wood construction projects.
• 5+ years in structural design of buildings and components.
• Knowledge of Canadian building codes and standards.
• Project management and contract administration experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with structural analysis software like ETABS, SAFE, SFRAME.
• Ability to learn, adapt, work independently and in teams.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Alberta.
