Job summary

EVB Engineering, Cornwall-based, is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join our team in Eastern Ontario. You will be involved in proposal writing, design, client and staff communication, and contract administration.

Your role includes preparing proposals, developing structural drawings, visiting sites to monitor progress, and coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and the project team to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation with PEO mandatory.
• Minimum of six years of structural design experience.
• Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Knowledge of CAD/BIM software (CAD, Revit, Robot, Structure Point Software).

EVB Engineering is a Cornwall based firm with a client base in Eastern Ontario. Our projects cover a vast array of municipal, commercial, land development, institutional and industrial clients. We are currently searching for a motivated Structural Engineer to complement our team. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project delivery including proposal writing, design, communicating with clients and staff, and contract administration.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist in the preparation of proposals to address our clients needs;
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and detailed structural design drawings and specifications for various structural projects;
• Visit sites to check on construction progress and inspect the works; and
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals, sometimes managing the design project team.
