Job summary

Atlas Structural Systems is seeking a design-focused engineer to develop cost-effective roof, wall and floor systems for commercial and residential projects in Eastern Canada. You will prepare engineered drawings, layouts, and job site packages while supporting contractors and homeowners with accurate quotes.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree or CET designation, at least two years of structural/truss design experience, and strong reading of drawings.

Qualifications

• CET designation or Engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of structural or truss design experience.
• Able to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• MiTek experience is an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design cost-effective and easy to install residential and commercial roof, wall and floor systems conforming to building codes.
• Prepare engineered drawings, layouts, and job site packages.
• Provide customer service to contractors and homeowners.
• Create quotes for roof, wall, and floor systems.
• Train and assist less experienced designers.
