Job summary

TYLin Buildings is seeking a Structural Designer to join our team in Toronto. You will work with the project team to design and analyze a variety of buildings, including steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion.

Ideal candidates hold a civil or architectural engineering degree, with EIT preferred, and have experience with REVIT Structure and analysis tools such as RISA, SAP, or RAM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structures focus preferred).
• Master’s degree would be considered an asset.
• Passing of E.I.T. exam preferred.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in the execution of commercial, institutional, or residential projects preferred.
• Familiarity with REVIT Structure preferred.
• Familiarity with computer analysis software (RISA, SAP, RAM) preferred.
• Client-focused with innovative problem solving.
• Collaborative and ethical team player.

Responsibilities

• Do the structural design and analysis for buildings projects across materials (steel, concrete, masonry, wood, etc).
• Assist in preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site investigations to document conditions.
• Perform field reviews during construction.

• Work with the project team to do the structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Perform field review for projects under construction.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $36.00-$40.00 per hour for this position and local market.
