Job summary

Hatch in Saskatoon is seeking a Structural Designer to support mining, heavy industrial, and dam projects by producing 3D models and 2D drawings under the Lead Structural Designer.

The role requires 5+ years in structural design with proficiency in Bentley, MicroStation, OpenBuildings, Revit and AutoCAD; EPCM environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural design.
• Experience in mining & heavy industrial structures.
• Proficient with 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Experience within a large EPCM environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain technical drawings and 3D models using 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Perform conceptual layout work.
• Develop design details.
• Coordinate with designers and engineers within the discipline and with other disciplines.
• Perform clash detection of models with other discipline models.
• Verify onsite conditions and dimensions relating to existing facilities.
• Assist the design with project scope, quantities, cost and schedule delivery.
• Incorporate safety in design.

Structural Designer

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Structural Designer in the Engineering consulting industry in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The Structural Designer will support mining, heavy industrial, hydropower, and dam projects by producing structural 3D models and 2D drawings under the direction of the Lead Structural Designer. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, the successful candidate will contribute to the design and detailing of reinforced concrete and structural steel structures, supporting both front-end studies and detailed engineering phases. Responsibilities include structural modeling, drafting, and design coordination for a variety of industrial projects.

Typical day:

Successful candidates will have:

Technical school diploma specializing in civil/structural design5+ years of experience in Structural design. Experience in mining & heavy industrial structures Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D structural design/drawing software packagesExperience with Bentley, Microstation OpenBuildings software would be considered an assetExperience with Revit, AutoCAD & AVEVA would be considered an assetExperience within a large project, multi-disciplinary EPCM environment
