The structural designer will produce designs related to mechanical equipment and services, including:

• Design of anchorage for vertical and horizontal mechanical systems (gravity and thermal loads)
• Design of seismic restraint systems for electrical and mechanical equipment
• Design of structural supports for electrical and mechanical equipment

Responsibilities:

• Planning, designing, executing, and completing various structural designs
• Conducting field reviews for certification
• Coordinating with other departments on multidisciplinary projects
• Maintaining communication with team members to resolve issues
• Building strong client relationships to support company growth

Skills/Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering or relevant experience
• Bilingual in French and English is an asset
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Fusion
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards, including Ontario Building Code, Steel Construction Handbook, and Concrete Design Handbook
• Excellent organizational, teamwork, written, and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license for site visits
