Job summary

EY Canada is seeking a Manager, Strategic Transaction Advisory and Accounting & Reporting (STAAR) to lead engagements on complex financial advisory and reporting projects. The role emphasizes IFRS/GAAP expertise, acquisition/divestiture projects, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple offices in Canada.

You will mentor staff, manage deadlines, and contribute to client service proposals while maintaining a strong focus on quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience and a Canadian CPA designation or equivalent.
• Experience in audit or in industry related to financial statement close processes or application of accounting standards.
• Strong team player with ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment.
• Must be fluent in French and English (spoken/written).

Responsibilities

• Plan and participate in a variety of engagements (accounting standards applications, governance processes, training design).
• Supervise engagement team members, delegate tasks, and review work.
